Online resources for the walk

Once you have signed up to The Great Tesco Walk it’s time to think about getting yourself prepared - for the actual walk and to start your fundraising. If you've chosen to do a Full Leg, an Ultra Leg, or a Half Leg you must plan and schedule your training according to how experienced you are and your fitness level. On these longer distance walks foot care, including having comfortable walking shoes to train in, will be very important.

Here’s where you will find everything you’ll need for your walk. We will update this information regularly, so keep looking, and get in touch if you have a question.

Around 10 days before your leg begins, you will receive an email with your FINAL EVENT GUIDE. If you missed it, don't worry! You can find it by clicking your Region on the menu to the left.

Key information and advice

Changing your walk 

If you can no longer take part in a Leg which you have signed up for, here is what you can do: 

Transfer to another Leg

To transfer onto a different walk or Leg, please email info@thegreattescowalk.com and include:

  • Your name and registration ID (in registration confirmation email)
  • New Leg number
  • New type of walk (Full, 1st Half, 2nd Half or Local Walk 1/2) 
  • Confirmation of approval from your store manager and their name - only if changing date

Remember there are different fundraising targets per distance: Full Leg - £350 / Half Leg - £200 / Local Walk 12km - £100 / Local Walk 5km - £50

Cancel your place

Please email info@thegreattescowalk.com to cancel your place and include the following in your email:

  • Your name and registration ID (in registration confirmation email)

Remember your £5 registration fee is non-refundable as it is a donation to the Tesco Charity Partnership.
